Trunk-or-Treat: Started in 2023; held at Schaghticoke Town Hall, participation from mutual aid departments, free candy and pumpkins.
Breakfast with Santa: held at Melrose Fire Station, Free breakfast and beverages, activities, pictures with Santa, free wrapped gift for every child.
Calendar Drive: our Calendar Drive is our main fundraising event. We send out a letter and calendar annually to the Melrose Fire District community members and businesses.
Boot Drives: We conduct boot drives along State Route 40 at various times of the year.
Annual Banquet: Installation or District Officers, oaths of office, annual awards and years of service pins.

Current and Upcoming Community Events
Defensive Driving Course: Sponsored by State Farm; March 23rd at 9am. $35 per person, payable by cash or check. Open to the public. 6 hour course with lunch and refreshments provided.
CPR Refresher Course: Taught by CIC Debbie Lammerts; April 26th at 11am. $35 per person, payable by cash or check. Open to the public, CPR refresher only.
Whether you want to volunteer, receive training, or support our initiatives, there are many ways to get involved with Melrose Fire Company. Together, we can make a difference in fire safety and community resilience. All Firematic members must be Company members.
To apply for membership: Click 'Get Involved' Fill out and print the application and background check form and bring it to a company meeting or District Drill night.
Company Meetings: first Wednesday of each month at 7pm. Excluding July and August.
District Drills: Every Thursday at 7pm, members may not be present at the firehouse on every drill night. We do go out to mutual aid departments for drills occasionally.
