Annual Events

Trunk-or-Treat: Started in 2023; held at Schaghticoke Town Hall, participation from mutual aid departments, free candy and pumpkins.

Breakfast with Santa: held at Melrose Fire Station, Free breakfast and beverages, activities, pictures with Santa, free wrapped gift for every child. 

Fundraising event: our Calendar Drive is our main fundraising event. We send out a letter and calendar annually. 

Boot Drives: We conduct boot drives along State Route 40 at various times of the year. 

Annual Inspection Banquet: Annual Banquet serving as a uniform inspection, District Officer Installation and oaths of office and awards. 

Our Current Fundraiser: Yeti Raffle and donations for basket raffles: winners to be drawn at our inspection banquet, May 3rd of 2025. 

Join Our Mission

Whether you want to volunteer, receive training, or support our initiatives, there are many ways to get involved with Melrose Fire Company. Together, we can make a difference in fire safety and community resilience. All Firematic members must be Company members.

To apply for membership: Click 'Get Involved' Fill out and print the application and background check form and bring it to a company meeting or District Drill night. 

Company Meetings: first Wednesday of each month at 7pm. Excluding July and August.

District Drills: Every Thursday at 7pm, members may not be present at the firehouse on every drill night. We do go out to mutual aid departments for drills occasionally.
